What do I do first after my accident?
- Make sure everyone is safe. Move to a safer location
- Call the police. File a report.
- Document the scene. Take photos
- Exchange info with the other driver.
- Call Cortese Collision Center at 585-427-2121. You have the right to choose any collision center. Let us help you get your car back to normal!

- License Plates
- Damage to your vehicle (all sides)
- Damage to their vehicle(s) (all sides)
- Overall accident scene from several angles
- Position of the vehicles
- Road/Intersection
- Traffic signs, signals and lane markings
- Skid marks or debris
- Any other property damage
- Other Driver's Insurance Card

- Other Driver's Full Name, Phone Number, Address, Driver's License #, License Plate #, Vehicle Year Make and Model, Vehicle Owner (if different)
- Insurance information - Company, Policy #, Name of Insured, Insurance Phone #
- Accident Details including Date. Time, Exact Location, Direction of Travel, Weather Conditions.

Witness Names and Phone Numbers, Police Information and it's best to jot down a rough description of what happened as your memory could fade in time. Much of the information will also be on your report if an officer responds to the scene of your collision.
